| Men losing out to women - EOC chairman | ||

The chairman of the Equal Opportunities Commission, W K Lam, says that an accelerating trend towards women being better educated and earning more than men is causing family tensions. Mr Lam told RTHK's Backchat programme that it was a difficult problem, which had not been been adequately examined.
The commission has launched a six-month study on discrimination against men. Mr Lam said many working-class males over 40 believed employers preferred to hire females in that age group.
